Delhi has approximately:
- 2500–3000+ named localities/colonies/areas
- Around 1,700+ unauthorized colonies
- Around 300+ urban villages
- Hundreds of regular residential colonies and sectors
There is no single official master list for “areas,” because new colonies and sectors keep getting added. Different government departments also classify areas differently.
